Do you know what is around you?

Do you remember those times in childhood when you rode with your bicycle in the rain and it was great. Of course you don’t. Most likely you lived in a city. Well for you guys I can tell kids in countryside do that kind of things. We spent most of the time outside all day long and often it started to rain when we were somewhere.

I got this feeling today. It was a 50% chance of getting rain today and we got it for whole 100%. Wet till underwear. And it happened in the beginning of our trip. Still that didn’t stop. We explored the unknown place of Gaujas National park and surrounding places. About 40km in total, through fields and forest trails. Going up and down the hills, across the bridges and through unexpected muds.  This was a challenge we completed. Three idiots going by bicycles through the rain, in the only day of the week when it is raining.

Trip wasn’t easy but it wasn’t very hard as well, though you had to have some sort of strength to actually complete it, because it asked for some muscle strength and persistence.

And once again, I can say. There are plenty of things to see right here in Latvia. No one even knows that. Can you truly say you know everything there is to see near your house in about 20km radius? I have been exploring my place surrounding for the past 2 years and there are still a lot of places I haven’t been to, places I would love to return to, and places that would surprise you. So what is around your place?
