First impression- And that is it?
No offence but I was waiting for some mountains for some different experience. And here you have. The same thing as in Latvia. Same culture, same buildings almost the same life style.
Differences - Kissing people on both cheeks. Why??? Who does like that? I thought it was only the strange French people and that side of Europe who does things like that. I am Nordic country. We are grumpy even when it is a good day outside because we know the next one most probably wont be so good anymore so there is no reason to be happy.
You think Slovakia is a beer country? Ha hahahaha, Yes, but only by stereotypes. What are the most popular beer here in Slovakia? Czech! Most of the beer offered in bars are not their own. Most of people think Slovak beer is a lot worth than Czech ones.
Trains? They consider them self as a small nation, because 5 million people is nothing comparing to the world. And still, if the train is late for 35 min that is absolutely normal. Even 2 h is not a surprise.
Girls? Well I cant disagree, in Slovakia there are nice looking girls but... If Slovak men would visit Latvia, they would reconsider the fact who has the most beautiful girls. Just saying. Although I might have founded the best of them.
Alcohol is a national thing here. Borovička, Sļiļovica, Cherešnovica, Hrušovica, and other vičkas. Tatra tea (72%) and other interesting stuff can be found here.
School system horribly easy. Starting to miss my homeworks from home university.
