So they will always tend to find the easiest way of achieving things.
Reading a book. I love to read books. But now I even more enjoy just listening to them, And there come loads of advantages with it.
- You don't have to read (very important for those who get sick while reading in a car, or are passengers for long time during dark hours)
- You can listen to it almost any time. While standing in a crowded public transport, sitting on toilet seat, hiking, riding a cycle.
- You can get them for free on internet
And of course there is one downfall.
- The voice of reader. How good is the book is part of the story. The other side is of how much you like the readers voice and his interpretation about the vocal variety necessary at certain points.
What I have understood is that. Even if at first you do not like the tempo, vibration or anything else in readers voice, please do bare it for a couple of chapters. Eventually you might get used to it and even like it. Because the reader is not the main point why you are listening to that audio book. The book is the main reason and it should stay like that.
As you might guessed it from title I am currently listening to book called "Around the World in 80 Days" Story about travelling. Arghhh why I caught this audio book in my playing list. Now it is impossible for some time to focus on anything else except my travel plans.
Going around the world. For the beginning it sounds like "Hell yeah ....I can do it" but then you reach a point where you say to yourself "Fuck no.....if only I would have money for it". And there it ends.
But not for me. As I am a crazy lazy chap, I Googled it. And guess what, there are plenty of people who have done it and who were even not half as well situated as I am. It can be done and it doesn't take loads of money. Even if you fly the whole deam way you can do it with anything as little as 1,500 - 4000 euros, depending on how many stops you take on the way. And these numbers are just from a 5 min search on skyscanner.com for flights 6 month in advance.
As I see it everyone can do it. Just if you have the determination to do it or not.
Would I like to do it, or will I do it? NO. Hell no. NOT now at least. I have other plans, BUT.....
who said you have to start with the world?
You can start with smaller things and they might not be less pleasing after all.
Now what if. What if instead of going around the World in 80 days, you would go around Latvia in 8 days. or by visiting 8 cities. Or doing it in 2 weeks. Or 16 days. It doesn't matter so much in how long time or on what conditions. The main point is to do what you want and reach your dreams that now are your goals.
As to me. I already went on a trip to Kolka alone with motorcycle just like that.
I still have my motorcycle. I already wanted to go and finally see our biggest mountain. (311m) Yeah spectacular view :D.
So I could do it in 8 h? Or take a longer trip and visit 8 cities. Or take even a longer trip and do a 8 day trip. Or extend it as much as to go around Latvia. Possibilities - Endless.
