After 13h hours on road and 2 h waiting we finally reached Casablanca. The Richest of the cities. We arrived late, at about midnight so we went straight to hotel with taxi and went to sleep. In the mornign we found a very nice coffee place with the cheapest and most richest breakfast I had in the whole trip. For 2,50 eur we each had an omelet, something similar to porridge, tea, water, fresh juice, and also some pastries I think.
After a short walk to the second most biggest mosque in the world (next to the Ocean) we observed how different is the city. No more donkeys on the streets, all men in suits, cars are more modern, scooters are a lot more better, and the city is waay more relaxed and European. The mosque - BIG.
You could also go in at one part of it, but the adult price was 12 eur so I passed, as you do not actually get in where the praying is done, but only see some other less important rooms in the basement floor. Juli went in, took some pictures for me, and I assured myself that I had made a good decision.
After seeing the only thing to see in the whole city we went to train station to get on time till Rabat. Another city located next to ocean. Rabat was like a mix of Marrakesh and Casablanca. You still get the old town and market, but it seems more civilized and better maintained, while you also have the modern part of the city right next to it, where you can find some nice shops and restaurants.
We walked all over the old town, New town, chilled for some hours next to the ocean while reading some great books we bought earlier in the morning. What I liked best here was the freshly squeezed juices, particularly pomegranate juice. for 6-8 dirhams you get a full glass. (about 0,60 - 0,80 cents)
There and then we decided that this is far the nicest city of all the ones we have been to yet in Morocco. But we still had one more suprise to wait us. And that was the last city Fes(Fez)
